Author Struggles...

So I know I've talked about author struggles in the past but it's been a while since I posted something and I think that there's just so much about this topic one can talk about.

As I continue my journey as a writer, I have learned so many things here and there that I would not have thought about before. For example, how people can react about something you write and you didn't think it would be controversial.
Something like this happened to me not long ago with Wildest Dreams. I'm not going to spoil it for anyone who has not read it. But I will say that there was a scene in the book that someone had misinterpreted and to this day, I truly believe they didn't read it thoroughly to understand it. I came to find out about it by reading it in the review posted.
After reading it I thought "Wow, that's not at all what it was supposed to be..."

What did I learn from this you ask?
Well I really need to watch how I write things and even say them out loud to make sure that some people don't misinterpret it. I ended up going back to the scene that was mentioned and tweaking it a little just in case anyone thought the same thing this person did.

I understand that I will have positive and negative reviews. I've had both now and I'm okay with it. Not everyone will like my books and that is just fine. Surprisingly the person that gave me that review gave me an average rating. Go figure...
